THE AXE IN THE ATTIC was always conceived of as both a dynamic film within itself and as a valuable educational and community activism tool. Amongst many important themes, the film directly challenges the viewer: “What is the present day responsibility of individual citizens and the government in this historic story of race and class oppression that culminated in the events of Hurricane Katrina?” Please join the growing group of educators, community leaders, and concerned citizens using this film to help address these and other pressing issues still facing those impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
